POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for the custodial maintenance of assigned college buildings and facilities.

Note:

This is a full-time position.

Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs.

MAJOR DUTIES:

INTERNAL BUILDING CLEANLINESS-ROOMS Cleans restrooms, classrooms, laboratories, offices, hallways, entrance ways, and stairways.

Cleans floors; sweeps, mops, dusts, waxes, and vacuums.

Removes cobwebs from all surfaces

Cleans blinds and windowsills.

Dusts furniture and fixtures.

May change light bulbs for lampsACEXTERNAL BUILDING AND FRONT ENTRANCES Performs lawn maintenance work as assigned.

Assures Front Entrance are swept and dusted

Maintains tools and equipment.

SUPPLIES AND INVENTORY Maintains cleaning supply inventory

Processes laundry, including cleaning rugs.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE Installs or moves furniture.

Locks doors and secures cleaning supplies

Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· No experience is required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.undefined SALARY/BENEFITS: $33,404.64 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
