Registered Nurse; RN - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital is seeking a proactive Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department night shift team. This full‑time position offers high‑quality, safe care under the Wellstar Professional Practice Model.

• Implement the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence‑based practice.
• Provide patient‑centered, relationship‑based care, adapting to cultural diversity and individual needs.
• Coordinate safe, quality patient care through timely documentation and respectful interdisciplinary communication.
• Participate in teamwork, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility to promote recruitment and retention.
• Engage in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor/mentor for other nurses and health‑care staff.
• Adhere to all Wellstar policies, standards, and national quality improvement goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all Wellstar Health System policies.

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Georgia (Single State) – required.
• RN – Multi‑state Compact – required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
• Basic Life Support Instructor – required.
• Basic Life Support Provisional – required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required.
• ACLS Instructor – required.
• ACLS Provisional – required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred.
• PALS Instructor – preferred.
• PALS Provisional – preferred.
• Proficiency in English communication, computer skills, interpersonal, collaborative, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully.
