Generac Generator Installation Apprentice

Help our established crew with the installation of home standby generators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the trades or expand their existing knowledge.

• Unload materials such as lumber, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Set up equipment for use at the job site, including workstations, power lines for tools, scaffolding, and forms for concrete foundations.
• Assist with framing and other tasks such as pouring foundations, installing sheetrock, and helping tradesmen with windows, electrical or plumbing systems.
• Clean up work sites by removing debris, packing up tools, and taking down structures when the day ends.

• Mechanical skill:
  Ability to operate light construction equipment such as trenchers, forklifts, and set up scaffolding.
• Physical stamina/strength:
  Able to lift at least 100 lbs. and handle heavy tools and equipment in all weather conditions on a daily basis.
• Listening:
  Follow instructions to ensure proper installation of materials and workplace safety.
• Organizational skills:
  Set up tools and materials at a worksite in an organized manner.
• Math skills:
  Measure materials when cutting lumber or pouring concrete, and perform basic calculations.
• Time management:
  Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner according to project schedules.
• Team player:
  Work closely with contractors, foremen, engineers, other helpers, and vendors on a daily basis.

• Pay: $14.00 – $21.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  8‑hour shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends; overtime available
