Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer

Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a rapidly growing aerospace R&D firm in Roswell, Georgia, pioneering autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and precision airdrop systems. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle challenging problems from sensor integration to flight‑test validation, all in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

We’re seeking a hands‑on Software Engineer who can move comfortably across analysis software, flight software, embedded firmware, and lightweight mobile apps, while also raising the bar on testing, code quality, and repository management.

• Build and maintain engineering/analysis software, embedded firmware, and mobile apps
• Own and improve our software repositories
• Work closely with aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineers to translate requirements into reliable software

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD a plus)
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in at least two of these areas: C/C++, Python, mobile development, backend/services
• Comfort with Git and modern workflows: pull requests, code reviews, issue tracking, release tags
• Practical testing mindset: unit tests, integration tests, debugging, logging, and traceability

• Real‑time systems, control systems, navigation, estimation, or autonomy experience
• Experience with flight test, fielded systems, ruggedization, or mission‑critical software
