Education & Experience- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of three (3) years previous experience or related work experience. - Experience:
Prior experience in facility management/purchasing and must possess excellent computer/email/word processing skills.
- Direct responsibility for developing operational procedures, implementing strategic initiatives, and completing projects that impact both the local programs and the Company’s business objectives.
- Maintain contracts for all utilities, communications, storage, cleaning service, trash removal, and building maintenance.
- Assist Senior Program Directors and Program Directors with budget management.
- Oversee all maintenance for building and grounds of each location.
- Ensure compliance with municipal ordinances, state licensing laws, and federal standards.
- Ensure compliance with Company, State and Federal standards, and licensing requirements.
- Serve on project teams, or in an advisory capacity, to support organizational initiatives.
- Liaison with contractors to assure stated work is completed properly.
- Responsible for the operation and compliance of fire and security systems for all centers.
- Arranges for transportation contracts and school trips.
- Maintains the transportation fleet, obtains insurance cards for vehicle and vehicle registrations, and ensures motor vehicle inspections are conducted yearly.
- Evaluates weather conditions and makes recommendations to the Executive Director for delayed openings or school closings.
- Purchasing officer for janitorial, building, and programmatic supplies.
- Maintains the license compliance files.
- Oversees the issuing of company supplies to personnel, while maintaining an inventory of equipment, laptops, cell phones, walkie-talkies, etc.
- Responds to all emergencies;
Emergency Liaison with Municipal departments. - Acquires fire permits and building occupancy requirements; if applicable, arranges for well water testing and maintains records and chemicals for safe operation of well water.
- Supplies Direct Support labor for all locations.
- Negotiates competitive terms for property lease agreements for all property sites in the program.
- Surveys new buildings and opportunities for business expansion.
- Responsible for creating and monitoring the IT and facilities.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Report suspected child abuse/neglect to administrator and law enforcement agency.
- Abide by all INK policies and procedures.
- Abide by DFPS and OHS regulations and standards.
- Work as a team player.
- Attends all mandated trainings.
- See that all areas are safe and clean.
- Maintain training hours and documentation as required.
- Show competency, good judgment, and self-control in working with children.
- Gain and use knowledge and awareness of all referral procedures.
- Gain and use knowledge and awareness of all State Minimum Standards and Guidelines for Day Care and other federal regulations as prescribed by supervisor to ensure the Head Start Performance Standards are in compliance.
- Acquire and maintain up-to-date training/certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen.
- Able to lift/move heavy and/or bulky objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
