LPN - MedSurg

Nights, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required. Floating to other units may be required, but rarely.

The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) is accountable for providing delegated aspects of direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role involves making decisions based on education, experience, and compliance with State Board of Nursing Rules and hospital policies.

• Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations and data collection.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient education.
• Administer medications and perform peripheral IV therapy.
• Participate in discharge planning and implement physician's orders.
• Document patient care activities accurately.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a LPN/LVN required.
• BLS and IV certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico as fingerprints for all NM travelers are required.
