Semi Senior Accountant – 5 day working over 4 days – Rotherham

Barber McLelland is working in partnership with an innovative independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Rotherham who are looking to appoint a Semi‑Senior Accountant. The firm is a progressive accountancy firm, adopting best working practices and utilising the latest software solutions. The business can provide individuals with a highly structured and supportive environment to help continue their career development.

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Prepare personal and corporate tax computations
• Conduct bookkeeping and VAT compliance, including client care, record‑keeping and VAT compliance
• Develop experience and confidence in dealing directly with the client, including telephone calls and generating/sending emails and written correspondence

• Minimum of 2 years experience working within the accountancy profession and AAT level 3 or 4 or part‑qualified ACCA
• Good communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team

• £28,000 – £30,000
• Full study support
• 5‑day working week over 4 days, including 1 day WFH after the probation period
• 25 days holiday plus stats (pro rata for 4 day/week)
