Salary:
Age 16–18: £7.96 per hour — 40 hours per week (including time at college)
Age 19–20: £11.06 per hour — 40 hours per week (including time at college)
Age 21+: £12.21 per hour (rising to £12.71 in April) — 40 hours per week (including time at college)

What does a life as a customer service specialist look like?A Customer Service Specialist (Level
3) apprenticeship gives you the chance to become the “go‑to” person for complex customer queries and high‑quality service delivery. You’ll gain hands‑on experience managing enquiries across phone, email and face‑to‑face channels, resolving issues, supporting service improvements and working closely with internal teams. Throughout the programme, you’ll develop strong communication and problem‑solving skills, learn how to use systems and CRM tools effectively, and build a solid understanding of our products, services and customer needs — all while helping to shape a positive customer experience.
apprenticeship course will cover the following
- Introduction to business administration within an accommodation and housing
- Managing customer enquiries via phone, email or face‑to‑face
- Investigating and resolving complaints
- Supporting service improvements
- Updating customer records and systems
- Working with internal teams to resolve issues
- Providing accurate advice and guidance
- Monitoring service performance and customer feedback
- Developing effective communication skills, including answering calls and responding to emails professionally, all as part of our Rotherham Repairs and Maintenance contract
- The ability to travel to your branch when required
- A genuine desire to learn and develop strong technical knowledge, including the skills, technology, and safety procedures needed to carry out the full range of tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive customer and client relationships
- Please note due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must complete a basic Maths and English assessment
- An industry‑recognised qualification
- 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
