Visitor Services Assistant

Location: Clifton Park Museum

Salary: £26,340 – £26,472 pro‑rate (pay award pending)

Contractual hours: 17.71 per week

Basis: Part time

We are looking for two Visitor Services Assistants to join the Rotherham Museums, Arts and Heritage team. The positions cover Clifton Park Museum, Boston Castle, and five other heritage sites across Rotherham.

The Assistants will work as part of the Visitor Experience team to ensure venues are welcoming and accessible, providing high quality customer experience and engaging visitors about the museum, exhibitions, and collections. They will also support the museum’s commercial activity by operating the gift shop, promoting the Walker Café, and encouraging donations and events.

Posts work on a rota basis across seven days a week, with some seasonal variations. Please state clearly on your application which post(s) you wish to apply for.
