Design Manager - Super Prime

Design Manager Super Prime Residential Construction Central London | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with strong potential to become permanent) An established and growing super-prime residential contractor is seeking a Design Manager to join its expanding design team. This opportunity would suit an architecturally trained individual who has already gained contractor-side experience and is looking to become more involved in the delivery of some of the finest residential projects in London and the Home Counties.

The business is recognised for delivering exceptional refurbishment, fit-out and structural alteration projects for private clients, working alongside some of the industry's leading architects, consultants and interior designers. Unlike many contractor-side design roles, this position offers genuine involvement from the earliest stages of a project. The company is frequently engaged during pre-construction and regularly undertakes significant Contractor Design Portion responsibilities, creating a role focused on design development, technical coordination and problem-solving rather than simply reviewing drawings or driving value engineering exercises.

The Role Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Site Teams and external consultants, you will help manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project completion. Projects regularly include:
Prime and super-prime residential refurbishments Listed and heritage buildings Structural alterations Basement construction Bespoke architectural detailing High-end interior fit-outs Contractor-designed packages and specialist works You will become part of a growing design department with excellent support, collaboration and opportunities for professional development.

The Person We are particularly interested in candidates who enjoy technical problem-solving and want to play an active role in delivering outstanding projects. You are likely to have:
An architectural, architectural technology or related construction qualification At least 12 months' experience working for a contractor Previous experience within high-end residential, commercial or complex refurbishment projects Strong design coordination and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities A proactive and collaborative approach Why Join?
