Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? An exciting opportunity awaits you in a local school in Rotherham (S25), seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join the team as an SEN Teaching Assistant.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You’ll help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, contributing to a positive and structured learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted academic and emotional support

Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation under teacher guidance

Contribute to individual support plans and monitor pupil progress

Build meaningful relationships that foster confidence and independence

Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Qualifications:

Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential

Strong communication, patience, and resilience

Genuine interest in SEN and child development

An up-to-date CV and enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
