Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A local school in Rotherham is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide hands‑on support to pupils requiring additional care and guidance.

The school fosters a nurturing and structured environment, supporting pupils’ emotional and educational development. Staff work closely together to create a positive, safe, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student wellbeing, resilience, and independence.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social needs. You’ll help students thrive academically and emotionally while contributing to a supportive learning environment.

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide targeted support for SEMH pupils
• Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation under teacher guidance
• Contribute to individual support plans and monitor pupil progress
• Build meaningful relationships that foster confidence, independence, and resilience
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication, patience, and resilience
• Genuine interest in SEMH and child development
• Up‑to‑date CV and enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
