Up to £38,487 per annum, including Market Force Supplement (dependent on qualifications/experience)
Location:
Dearne Valley College, with offsite working (subsidised travel expenses)
About the role:
If you have experience of planning, delivering and assessing apprenticeships in Plastering Apprenticeship Standards then this is the role for you. You will be part of a team helping to develop the next generation of construction skills. You will support the development of up‑to‑date knowledge, skills & behaviours and have a good appreciation of employer skill needs in the electrical industry.
You will coach, assess & support apprentices on electrical courses, use e‑portfolios, carry out on‑site performance reviews and maintain accurate records via tracking systems.
- Relevant industry NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
- A1/V1/CAVA Assessors Award (or equivalent)
- Excellent IT skills
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- IQA Award is desirable
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake)

Your role in the departmentAs part of the Work based Learning department you will report directly to the Curriculum Team Leader/Curriculum Manager. You will play an active role in the curriculum team, working with key stakeholders such as Curriculum Team Leaders, Curriculum Managers and Curriculum Lecturers.
You will also build good working relationships with other key stakeholders in apprenticeship programmes such as the Functional Skills Team.
