Reeson Education are recruiting a confident Outdoor Educator for a focused educational setting in Dinnington (S25). This role suits someone hands-on, authoritative, and calm under pressure, with the ability to lead outdoor learning sessions that promote self-control, teamwork, and accountability.
About the RoleAs an Outdoor Educator, you will lead structured outdoor and experiential learning activities designed to develop discipline, resilience, and positive behaviour. You will work with small groups of pupils who benefit from practical learning, clear boundaries, and consistent adult leadership.
Key Responsibilities as an Outdoor Educator- Structured Outdoor Sessions: Plan and deliver controlled outdoor learning activities with clear objectives and routines.
- Leadership & Control: Maintain firm boundaries, expectations, and safety standards during all activities.
- Behaviour & Regulation: Apply consistent behaviour strategies to keep pupils focused, regulated, and on task.
- Progress & Engagement Tracking: Monitor participation, engagement, and behavioural progress accurately.
- Team Coordination: Work efficiently with teaching staff, behaviour teams, and leadership to reinforce expectations.
- Experience in outdoor education, alternative provision, SEMH, youth work, or similar structured settings.
- A strong presence with clear, direct communication.
- Confidence managing behaviour in outdoor and high-energy environments.
- A practical, organised, and safety-focused approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
- Competitive daily rate of £110-£150 depending on experience.
