Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: S63 Tuition. Job in Brinsworth Education & Training Jobs

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Rotherham! At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision.

What will you be tutoring?

The vast majority of our tuition referrals are for English and Maths. A lot of our students are working below expected age range, and the delivery of learning will be at a KS1 – KS3 level.

Example Role
  • Location:

    S63, within Education setting.
  • Start Date:

    ASAP.
  • End Date:
    Ongoing.
  • Hours:

    5 hours a week.
  • Pay: £20‑30 per hour.
  • Role: A-Level Tuition (Law, Sociology, and English Literature) for a Year 11 student working below area. Experience with SEN desired.
When and where will you be tutoring?

Our tuitions can be held in a number of places:

  • Within schools
  • Within public places
  • Within students homes

In all of these locations, there will always be an appropriate adult present for your tuition sessions. This will be the student's parent, carer, or guardian, meaning you'll never be left alone with a student.

Our tuitions take place within school hours, 9am – 4pm, and our clients are very flexible on timings. When a role becomes available, we will come to you as the tutor to set timings for when you'd like to take on the hours.

Qualifications

With our tuition roles, you do not need to be a qualified teacher. We usually ask that you have some form of higher education.

We'd also expect candidates to have some prior experience within education; at least 4 months working in a school or educational setting. This could be as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a pastoral or support role.

How do I get started?

To get started as a tutor, you'll need to register with Prospero Teaching!

Our registration process is simple and can be broken down into a few steps:

  • Complete our registration form.
  • Have a short interview with one of our team members!
  • Work through compliance to make sure we have all your required documents and vetting checks complete.
