The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of SEND, including SLD, PMLD and complex communication needs
- Assist with personal care as required
- Use sensory strategies and communication tools (such as PECS, objects of reference, or visual timetables)
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and specialist staff
- Engage pupils in motivating, multisensory learning activities
- Help maintain a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- A calm, patient and compassionate approach
- Willingness to support personal care and medical needs
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
