We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join one of our vibrant and supportive schools in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
You will be working within a specialist or mainstream setting, delivering tailored lessons that inspire, engage, and support students with a range of additional needs-including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, support staff, and families
- Track and assess pupil progress, using this to inform future planning
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Foster independence, confidence, and essential life skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience working with children with SEND (school or specialist setting)
- Strong understanding of behaviour support and adaptive teaching
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ECTs with SEN experience or a strong interest in SEN are also welcome to apply.
