Are you an enthusiastic ECT with experience supporting children with SEN? Do you want the flexibility of day‑to‑day supply work? Are you passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment?

Teacher Active is proudly working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Rotherham, looking to recruit passionate Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with SEN experience for day‑to‑day supply cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for ECTs looking to gain valuable experience across a variety of school settings while developing their confidence and teaching skills. The successful candidate will work across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and delivering engaging lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Role Overview

The ideal ECT Primary Teacher will be adaptable, nurturing and committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed within the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Support pupils with SEN and additional needs across KS1 and KS2.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and provide a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual student learning needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support child progress.
Qualifications
  • QTS or on track to achieve QTS.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Placements within UK primary schools.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Sound understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
  • Flexible, adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Positive, patient and engaging teaching style.
