Level 3 Learning Support /Mentor
Oakwood High School, Rotherham.
Responsible to: SENCO, Working under the guidance of Teaching Staff and Assistant SENCO.
Responsible for: Supporting students as directed (and the supervision of staff where appropriate).
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday – 8am – 4pm;
Fridays, 8am – 3.30pm term time at 192 days.
Closing Date: Monday, 15th June 2026 at 12noon.
Interview Date: Thursday, 25th June 2026.
Start Date: September 2026.
Responsibility- Will be working under the direction of the SENCO to deliver agreed work with individuals and groups, in and out of the classroom.
- Will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of needs and challenges to enable them experience the broad and balanced curriculum, which is their right.
- Successful candidate will be truly committed to supporting the students to make progress and achieve, with high expectations and aspirations for student’s success.
- They will actively contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas, playing a key role in the school’s journey towards outstanding.
- All students and staff are provided with an electronic device to enhance learning and promote independence, supporting a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
