Full time/full year (not term time only)
Salary: £8.00 per hour / £15,434.27 per annum from 1 st April 2026, for all ages in their first year of the apprenticeship. The National Minimum Wage as appropriate to age is then paid for the remainder of the apprenticeship contract following completion of the first year. 37 hours per week (flexible to cover opening hours from 7.45am until 5.45pm) to include designated training time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Apprentice to join our team. You would be required to work across the Centre ensuring high quality practice and provision is maintained at all times in our supportive and inclusive setting. We want an apprentice to join us who is passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment, who see themselves as playing a vital role in shaping our very young children’s early experiences.
The successful applicant will be expected to work in a holistic way across all age groups (0-4 years) in the Centre.
The Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidate will have to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check. Satisfactory references, 1 professional (from current or most recent employer or education) and 1 character will also be required. Online searches will be conducted on shortlisted candidates.
Applicants must:
- Have or be predicted grade 4 or above in Mathematics and English
- Be 16 years of age or over
- Be able to demonstrate positive, high‑quality interactions with very young children
- Have a warm, nurturing and empathetic nature
- Be committed to completing the necessary academic studies alongside working
- Be flexible and have a willing approach to be fully involved in all Centre aims and objectives
- Have the ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Have excellent communication skills and have the desire to work as a proactive member of a complex team
