SEMH Teaching Assistant – Rotherham

£100-£130 per day | Full‑Time | Immediate Start

CER Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our valued partnership primary schools in Rotherham
. Specifically, the role is to support learners with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH). This full‑time role offers the chance to work in a warm, inclusive school community where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Role Responsibilities

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school:

  • Work one to one with students with SEMH
  • Support classroom learning and help engage pupils in their activities
  • Work closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience for all pupils
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience supporting learners with SEMH
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and personal development
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding
