About the role
We are looking for a committed Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Rotherham from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term supply position for an initial three-month period, with a strong opportunity to move onto a permanent contract. The school, part of a large and supportive trust, is known for its positive ethos, high expectations and strong focus on staff development.
Keyresponsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, track and monitor student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and enrichment.
- Participate in wider school responsibilities as required.
- Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS or equivalent).
- Proven experience of teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Two education or school-based references.
- A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
