Music Teacher – Rotherham Multi‑Academy Trust

PK Education is working in partnership with a well‑established Multi‑Academy Trust in Rotherham and are looking to appoint a Music Teacher from September 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to work across three secondary schools within the same Trust, giving you the variety of different school environments while benefiting from the consistency, support, and collaboration of a single employer.

Your timetable will consist of:

  • 3 days per week at the lead school
  • 1 day per week at a second Trust school
  • 1 day per week at a third Trust school

You'll teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, and performance. Whether students are composing, performing, or developing their understanding of music from different genres and cultures, you will play a key role in bringing the curriculum to life.

The Trust has invested heavily in its Performing Arts provision, with dedicated music facilities, rehearsal spaces, and a collaborative network of Music teachers who regularly share resources and best practice across the schools.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Music across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver practical and classroom‑based lessons
  • Support performances, concerts, and extracurricular music opportunities
  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress
  • Work collaboratively with other Music departments across the Trust
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Music within a secondary school
  • Strong classroom management and excellent subject knowledge
  • Ability to inspire students of all musical abilities
  • Flexible and organised, with confidence working across multiple school sites
