Art Teacher Job in Rotherham - Inspire Creativity This September

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a dedicated Secondary Art Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026
. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop their artistic skills, creativity, and confidence in a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative Art and Design lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students to explore a variety of artistic techniques, media, and creative processes.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels encouraged to express themselves.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
  • Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and problem-solving through practical and theoretical learning.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Art by developing technical skills and supporting portfolio work.
  • Contribute to exhibitions, enrichment activities, and whole-school events where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for inspiring young people through art and creativity.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education.
