The primary function of this role is to coordinate the processes and procedures in line with RNN’s duty for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans studying within RNN.

• Coordinate processes and procedures for learners with EHCPs within RNN.
• Act as the primary point of contact for learners when required.
• Work collaboratively with the wider college community to ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and Local Authority Graduated Response.
• Accurately record information in a timely manner.
• Provide empathy, flexibility, and professional support to a variety of learners.

• Background in SEND support and extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Specialist qualification in a relevant subject area, or willingness to work towards it.
• Sound knowledge of SEND, High Needs and health & medical related issues.
• High level of professionalism, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to record information accurately.
• Empathy and flexibility to meet the needs of a variety of learners.

You will be employed within the ALS Team within the student support services department structure under the overall management of the Head of Additional Learning and High Needs Support.
