As a Work Placement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the student journey. You'll source high-quality, inspiring work placements that bring learning to life while building a centralised hub of opportunities across the entire RNN Group.
Working at the heart of our community, you will collaborate with curriculum teams to schedule meaningful placements, partner with Business Development to foster strong employer relationships, and directly empower students with the guidance they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Empower Students:
Connect learners with valuable placement opportunities and provide clear guidance through our centralised platform. - Build Employer Links:
Work alongside Business Development to expand our network of trusted local and regional employers. - Ensure Student Safety:
Conduct placement reviews to guarantee safe, healthy, and supportive working environments in line with HSE standards. - Collaborate for Success:
Team up with tutors, curriculum managers, and student support teams to embed placements seamlessly into the academic year.
- Experience with Young People: A background in FE, Post-16 education, or youth-focused environments.
- Relationship & Customer Service
Skills:
Excellent communication skills with a respectful, candidate-first approach. - Core
Qualifications:
Level 2 (GCSE A*-C / 4-9) in English and Maths (or equivalent). - Safety Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act and HSE standards.
You will join a collaborative on-site team working in tandem with counterparts across the broader RNN Group. Reporting to the Head of Future Ready & Transitions, you'll be an essential bridge between student support, curriculum leaders, and local employers-ensuring a smooth, high-quality experience for every learner.
