What You'll Do- Lead & Inspire:
Guide, support, and mentor a team of Lecturers, Technicians, and Onsite Assessors. - Teach & Deliver:
Deliver approx. 828 teaching hours per year across all qualification levels (including preparation, marking, and learner target-setting). - Manage & Measure:
Oversee course performance, student attendance, retention, and achievement alongside your Curriculum Manager. - Bridge industry & Classrooms:
Leverage your commercial contacts to shape a modern curriculum and secure high-value work placement opportunities for students. - Run Commercial Learning:
Oversee real-world training environments that prepare students for modern industry standards.

Who We're Looking For?- Industry Expertise: A solid background in Catering & Hospitality, plus hands-on experience running a commercial environment.
- Teaching & Assessment:
Proven experience teaching, assessing, and verifying across various qualification levels. A formal teaching qualification is required (an Assessor's Award is ideal!) as well as a vocationally relevant qualification at Level 3 or above. - Leadership
Experience:
A track record of working in an educational setting, driving high-quality learning outcomes, and motivating a team. - Networker & Innovator:
Ability to collaborate with local industry professionals to keep our study programmes relevant, exciting, and career-focused.
You will be able to lead your team successfully, working collaboratively with colleagues in this area and across other subjects. You will have good contacts with industry professionals and can work with them effectively to shape our future curriculum as well as providing excellent opportunities for our students to gain first‑hand experience in this area.
Department InfoYour line manager will be the Curriculum Manager and you will regularly report on your objectives to update them on a range of KPIs including (but not limited to) student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
You will also liaise with all staff that teach on your programme(s), monitoring performance indicators and provide day to day leadership, guidance and support to Lecturers & Programme Leaders in your teams through informal methods and regular team meetings.
