An exciting opportunity has arisen at Wath Academy for an exceptional Student Support Worker to work with an experienced and highly motivated team of professionals.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Student Support Worker who will provide exceptional pastoral care, support and guidance for all students.

About the Role

As a Student Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ wellbeing, engagement and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents/carers and external agencies to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The role requires a calm, empathetic and proactive individual who is able to build positive relationships with young people and provide consistent support within a busy secondary school environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• be fully committed to Maltby Learning Trust’s Vision and Values and the Academy’s Key Drivers;
• be a driven, proactive and positive individual with a strong commitment to continuously improving their own practice;
• demonstrate a genuine growth mindset, exceptional work ethic and a good sense of humour;
• have experience of working with children and young people, ideally in an educational or pastoral setting;
  Have knowledge and understanding of the context in which Wath Academy operates;
• be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required;
• have strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff and families.
