Timetable - Monday and Wednesday 08:30-17:00, Tuesday, Thursday 08:30-16:30 & 17:30-20:30 and Friday 08:30-16:30.
Temporary long term cover
£30-40 per hour.
We are currently seeking an experienced Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1-3 within a Further Education setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled construction professional or established lecturer to support learners in developing the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours required for progression within the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards within workshops.
- Deliver engaging Carpentry & Joinery lessons across Levels 1-3.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals.
- Maintain accurate learner records and comply with awarding body
- Relevant Carpentry & Joinery qualification.
- Industry experience within Carpentry and Joinery.
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) desirable.
- Experience delivering training or teaching within Further Education is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
