A permanent school crossing patrol post at Sitwell Junior & Infant School, sitting within the Corporate Services directorate of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. The role involves supervising the Broom Lane zebra crossing so pupils can reach and leave school safely while traffic is managed. Two short daily sessions, morning and afternoon, run on weekdays during term time only, with training provided.
Successful candidates must pass an enhanced DBS check and a medical assessment before appointment.
- Supervise the Broom Lane zebra crossing for pupils arriving at and leaving school
- Help children cross busy roads safely
- Manage traffic at the crossing
