Senior CAD Technician

Find Core are thrilled to be assisting an award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Senior CAD Technician. Permanent position. This role will be based at the company’s Sheffield office. The successful candidate will work alongside Civil and Structural Engineers on a varied range of residential, commercial and industrial developments. Key Responsibilities Produce and update technical drawings using AutoCAD. Prepare General Arrangement drawings, structural layouts and construction details. Support structural projects involving steel, concrete, timber and reinforced concrete. Assist Civil Engineers with external works, site layouts and drainage drawings. Work across projects ranging from individual residential properties to larger commercial and industrial developments. Coordinate drawings with Engineers, Architects and other members of the project team.

Maintain accurate drawing information and support projects through agreed deadlines. Assist and support more junior Technicians where appropriate. Skills & Experience Previous experience working as a CAD Technician, Engineering Technician or in a similar role. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD. Some experience within civil, structural or construction-related engineering. Understanding of technical drawings and construction detailing. ONC, HNC, HND or similar Civil/Structural Engineering qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experience with steel, concrete, timber or reinforced concrete detailing would be beneficial. Exposure to external works or drainage drawings would also be advantageous. Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately to deadlines. Strong communication skills and willingness to continue developing technically.
