We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing SME client based in Rotherham
, who are looking for a capable and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of their day-to-day finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on
, likes variety, and wants to work closely with the Managing Director and wider business. You'll play a key role in keeping the finances running smoothly, providing accurate financial information and helping the business make informed decisions.
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and journals
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Producing detailed P&L analysis and highlighting key trends
- Preparing cash-flow forecasts
Supporting month-end processes and reporting - Providing financial information and reports to the wider Management Team
- Integrating and maintaining financial data across internal system
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
- Managing an accounts administrator
- Completing regular bank reconciliations
- Monitoring payments, receipts and bank deposits
- Managing credit control and debt collection
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar position
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processes
- Strong Management and Financial Reporting experience
- IT literate including excel
- The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environment
- A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to learn new systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
