SME Environment, Hands-On Finance Role We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing SME client based in Rotherham, who are looking for a capable and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of their day-to-day finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes variety, and wants to work closely with the Managing Director and wider business. You'll play a key role in keeping the finances running smoothly, providing accurate financial information and helping the business make informed decisions.

You'll take responsibility for a broad range of finance activities, including:

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and journals

Preparing monthly management accounts

Producing detailed P&L analysis and highlighting key trends

Preparing cash-flow forecasts

Supporting month-end processes and reporting

Providing financial information and reports to the wider Management Team Integrating and maintaining financial data across internal system

Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records

Managing an accounts administrator

Completing regular bank reconciliations

Monitoring payments, receipts and bank deposits

We're looking for someone who is organised, analytical and commercially aware, with the confidence to take ownership of the finance function.

Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar position

Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processes

Strong Management and Financial Reporting experience IT literate including excel

The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environmentA proactive, flexible approach and willingness to learn new systems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This is more than simply processing invoices and balancing the books. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership, influence how the finance function operates and work closely with senior management in a business where your contribution will be visible and valued.
