We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Learning Disability Team in Rotherham. In this locum role, you’ll earn a competitive £33.12 hourly rate while making a lasting impact on individuals with learning disabilities. Conduct Care Act Assessments and develop comprehensive support plans.

Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and make best interest decisions.

Apply a strong understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and support s.21A Court of Protection work.

Engage in Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring legal and procedural compliance.

Collaborate with community-based adult social work teams to support people with learning disabilities.

Use Continuing Health Care (CHC) Checklists and Decision Support Tools as appropriate.

Carry out home visits, with a requirement to be onsite in Rotherham three days per week.

HCPC-registered Qualified Social Worker with post-qualification experience.

Proven background in adult social care, particularly with older adults or individuals with physical, cognitive, or learning disabilities.

In-depth knowledge of the Care Act, DoLS, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures.

Skilled in s.21A court work and familiar with CHC protocols.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness and ability to travel locally for home visits.
