The Registered Manager position at Lord Hardy Court is a key leadership role within Provider Services, responsible for ensuring high-quality care and compliance with statutory duties in adult social care. Lord Hardy Court is a residential care home rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), comprising 60 beds across four units. It provides support for individuals living with dementia and hospital discharge pathway beds.
The role requires substantial expertise in adult social care, a thorough understanding of statutory responsibilities, and strong leadership skills to manage people effectively. Collaboration with health professionals and adherence to CQC standards are central to the position, ensuring that residents receive safe, person‑centred care.
As Registered Manager, you will ensure compliance with CQC standards through robust quality assurance and audit processes. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate digital records, monitoring performance, and preparing evaluation reports to demonstrate service impact. You will oversee frontline service delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and effective leadership within Davies Court.
Responsibilities- Recruiting, training, supervising, and motivating staff to maintain a positive service culture and high standards of care.
- Monitoring staff performance and training to support safe operations.
- Preparing the service for internal and external inspections.
- Acting as the primary contact for commissioners, local authorities, and a close partner working relations with health/social care professionals.
- Managing budgets, contracts, and essential administrative tasks.
- Adhering to CQC legislation, regulatory standards, and best practice in adult care.
- Understanding of health and safety, safeguarding, the Health and Social Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Leading the team ensuring high quality Person‑centred care, including performance management and reporting against targets.
- Supporting with budgeting, record‑keeping, needs assessment, and planning.
- Proven ability to implement business continuity processes and drive service improvements.
- Communicating and relationship‑building skills, with experience in multi‑disciplinary and partnership working.
- Manage resources effectively to achieve positive outcomes and improve safety and efficiency.
