The role offers genuine autonomy, variety and the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees across the organisation. This would suit an experienced HR Advisor, HR Officer or HR Manager looking for a part-time opportunity where there is scope to take ownership, provide practical HR advice and contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation. The role The HR Advisor will provide a comprehensive HR service across the organisation, including:
Providing day-to-day HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees Managing employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes Supporting payroll and benefits administration Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures Producing HR reports and providing recommendations to improve HR processes Ensuring HR policies and practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation Supporting managers with effective people management and employee relations Contributing to initiatives focused on employee engagement and positive employee relations Keeping HR processes and documentation accurate, consistent and up to date About the candidate The successful candidate will have previous experience working at HR Advisor level or above, together with a strong and current understanding of UK employment law.
The ability to work independently is important, as is the confidence to provide practical HR advice and make sound decisions across a broad range of people matters. Key requirements include:
Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or HR Manager position Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice Experience managing employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes Good understanding of recruitment, absence and performance management Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A professional, approachable and pragmatic manner Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems CIPD qualification is advantageous but not essential The opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a broad remit and wants genuine ownership of the HR function.
The role offers flexibility around working hours, with the equivalent of three days per week available to be worked across either three or four days, depending on preference and business requirements. There is also scope to influence and improve HR processes and support the continued development of the organisation.

Near Truro, Cornwall Working pattern:
