Position: Additional Information:

An established and well-regarded regional law firm in Rotherham is seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join its growing team. This is a fee-earning position suited to an ambitious and capable individual who is confident managing their own caseload while also supporting senior members of the department on more complex matters.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality advice to clients across a broad range of private client matters. This opportunity offers genuine responsibility, client exposure, and scope for longer-term progression within a supportive and reputable practice.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, and Estate Administration.

Taking client instructions, providing clear and practical advice, and progressing matters efficiently to conclusion.

Drafting Wills, LPAs, estate accounts, and associated documentation with minimal supervision.

Handling probate applications and liaising with HMRC where required.

Maintaining regular client contact, providing updates, and ensuring a high standard of client care.

Meeting fee-earning and time recording targets in line with departmental expectations.

Supporting senior fee earners on more complex estate and trust matters where necessary.

Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the private client offering locally.

Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise workload effectively.

Strong client care skills with a sensitive and empathetic approach.

Excellent drafting ability and attention to detail.

Commercial awareness and an understanding of billing and file management procedures.

Confident communicator, both written and verbal.

Organised, proactive, and able to work to deadlines.

Experience & Knowledge

Previous experience handling private client matters, ideally within a high street or regional firm environment.

Experience managing your own files is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Wills, Probate, LPAs, and estate administration procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
