Description
We are looking for a skilled System Control Manager to lead a team of System Controllers in our DVP warehouse Rotherham. You will be working alongside a team of Maintenance Engineers and Site Maintenance Managers to ensure smooth operation and material flow through the Warehouse.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 13:30-22:00
Applicants must have a good understanding of the System Control process.
The interviews for this position will be held early January.
Responsibilities- Set performance standards for System Controllers to ensure the flow of material through the warehouse is optimised.
- Ensure the team follow working procedures and adhere to all H&S policies at all times.
- Demonstrate a good technical knowledge and understanding of the warehouse systems and SCADA, using your knowledge to determine appropriate actions and solutions escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure all systems and hardware within the Control Room are functioning correctly.
- Ensure there is a clear communication pathway between systems and maintenance engineers, escalating any issues to the Site Maintenance Manager as appropriate.
- Liaise with Site Maintenance Manager regarding equipment faults that cannot be corrected via normal procedures to ensure a rapid solution to rectify issues.
- Line manage System Controllers including training, development and performance management.
- Produce relevant reports as required regarding system control data for the wider maintenance and warehouse management teams.
- Work with other System Control Managers across the Next Warehouse network to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
- Has supervisory or management experience in a control room environment.
- Is proficient with SCADA systems and has a strong technical understanding of warehouse automation.
- Possesses excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload effectively.
- Is a strong communicator and team player.
- Has a proven ability to train and motivate a team.
- Demonstrates excellent decision‑making skills.
