Registered Manager – Children's Learning Disability & Autism Home
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE) + additional performance-related bonus structure.
Location: Rotherham
Home Size: Brand new 2 Bed LD home
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand new specialist children's home
, giving you the autonomy to establish the culture, recruit your own team, and create an outstanding therapeutic environment from the very beginning. Whether you re an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready for your first registration, full support is available to help you succeed.
- Salary up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Attractive performance-related bonus structure with additional earning potential.
- Additional payments available for extra shifts where applicable.

- Dedicated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) budget.
- Paid professional registration fees.
- Support towards achieving the Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification if required.
- Clinical and social work support from an experienced leadership team.
- Genuine autonomy to recruit your own team and shape the home s therapeutic culture from day one.
- Experience working within children s residential care.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or significant experience as a Deputy Manager looking to progress.
- A sound understanding of Ofsted regulations and children s home legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving positive outcomes.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
- Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home.
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, develop, supervise, and inspire a high-performing staff team.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and risk management are consistently maintained.
- Develop and monitor care plans that promote positive outcomes for each child.
- Manage staffing, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Build positive relationships with families, local authorities, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home to achieve strong Ofsted inspection outcomes.
- Promote a positive, supportive culture that enables children to reach their full potential.
