Plasma Machine Operative

Overview

Metalis is working with a engineering company based in Rotherham and are looking to add a machine operative to their workforce. This is a Temporary to Permanent position that will lead to permanent employment after the 12 weeks probationary period is complete. You will be working on a 3 shift pattern (Days, Afters & Nights).

• Load, unload and operate lasers and plasma cutters, as well as general workshop duties.
• Progression to become FLT trained, Side loader trained, and using the company s overhead cranes.

• Previous CNC or profiling experience
• Worked in a heavy/industrial engineering environment
• A background of Laser or Plasma cutting is highly desirable
• Hard working
• Show a willingness to learn and progress to operator level

• £14.00 per hour for initial 12 weeks with a pay review on permanent contract offer
• Days:
  Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00;
  Friday 06:00 to 12:30
• Nights:
  Monday to Thursday 20:30 to 06:00;
  Friday 18:00 to 03:00
• Afternoons:
  Monday to Thursday 13:00 to 21:00;
  Friday 12:00 to 18:30
• Time and half for overtime, double time on Sundays
• £34 shift allowance per night shift

Gain Licenses / training on FLT, Side loaders and Overhead Crane after 12 weeks.
