CNC Manufacturing Engineer

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to join our well-established client based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 16:00

Rates of Pay

£19.23 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as a CNC Manufacturing engineer will be:

  • Work closely with the Mould Shop Manager, Co-ordinator and Foreman to ensure the 4-week plan is met with high efficiency.
  • Ensure the CNC team members are fully prepared for the next job and have all the equipment required to complete the task.
  • Review, update and create manufacturing methods.
  • Design and development of work holding methods.
  • Reviewing CAD Models using Inventor or Solid CAM and extracting information.
  • Editing, writing and simulation of CNC programs.
  • Provide prove out support to shop floor for new processes.
  • Produce technical production documentation, SOP’s, Tooling sheets, inspection sheets etc. where required.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the team.
  • Understanding of measurement methods and techniques.
Essential Skills

The skills required to be a CNC Engineer are:

  • Fanuc / XYZ Experience
  • Machining experience (CNC, Manual, Milling and Turning.)
  • Experience with CNC programs.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM.
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An Excellent understanding of 6S and experience of implementing from ground zero.
  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication Skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation Skills.
  • IT Skills, including Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively.

  • Industry-related training with ongoing support
