VACANCY: Factory and Office Cleaner

SHIFT: Monday – Friday 6am - 2pm

LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

ABOUT US:

MTL Advanced is a Yorkshire-based engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 390,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham. We provide services to a range of OEMs in defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail. Our inhouse capabilities include large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly. We are looking for an experienced Cleaner to maintain our large factory, site, yard and office areas on a full time, permanent basis.

Your role will be to manage the overall day-to-day cleaning operation on site in a safe, efficient and professional manner, including both inside and outside in all weathers.

You will be working in a heavy engineering environment, with tight deadlines especially during peak times throughout the day, week and year.

• Clean and sanitise designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment; offices, outdoor and factory environments
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, disposing of rubbish, cleaning windows, mirrors and glass surfaces
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Minor indoor and outdoor maintenance
• Ensure good working relationships with work and site employees
• Keep up to date with good working practices, products and techniques to maintain knowledge
• Safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals, in line with training
• Completion of daily cleaning tasks and relevant documentation and checklists

• Reliable, punctual and dedicated to delivering high-quality results
• Have all-round cleaning experience within a manufacturing production environment
• Physically fit and capable of working with heavy-duty cleaning equipment and chemicals
• A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to remain focused on quality and reiterate its importance to others
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
