Shift Team Leader

As a Shift Team Leader, you’ll be accountable for delivering production targets safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll lead your team on shift, ensuring that plans are executed effectively while maintaining a strong focus on performance, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Leading production delivery against daily and weekly plans to meet required standards and timescales
• Managing shift performance, including quality and efficiency, through effective handovers and monitoring
• Ensuring materials and resources are in place to support optimised production, taking corrective action where needed
• Recording and managing production data accurately using performance systems
• Coordinating reactive maintenance across manufacturing assets during the shift
• Identifying and resolving abnormal process conditions to maintain optimal operations
• Driving and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and new ways of working
• Leading and managing a team of up to 5 employees

• Strong experience leading production teams in a complex manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (ideally polymer processing/injection moulding)
• Ability to drive safety and continuous improvement best practices
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across different levels
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability

• Maths and English qualifications
• Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience

• Take ownership of shift performance and team leadership
• Influence production, quality, and continuous improvement outcomes
• Develop your leadership capability within a high-performing manufacturing environment
