Due to an increase in demand and continued success a fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced Furnace Operatives to join a global leading engineering business, with very high staff retention, based at their engineering facility in the Rotherham area.
Working as part of a friendly team and reporting to the Production Manager, your day-to-day duties include:- Setting and operating annealing furnaces.
- Responsible for the manufacturing line while running multiple products simultaneously.
- Checking product thickness, strength, colour, and positioning.
- Understanding and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ensuring all necessary product information is recorded accurately.
- Using FLT counterbalances and overhead cranes to load and unload machinery.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
This role would suit someone who has worked as a Furnace Operative, Foundry Operative, Grinder, Fettler, Steel Worker and Rolling Mill Operative within a foundry, steel works or heavy engineering/ manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will have:- Their own or inhouse FLT counterbalance licence (must be able to provide a copy).
- Experience working within a steel works, foundry or heavy engineering environment.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Good understanding of health and safety.

The benefits package include:- Generous £15.83 per hour across all 3 shifts.

- A 3-shift rotation. Week 1: 6am till 2pm / Week 2: 2pm till 10pm / Week 3: 10pm – 6am.
