We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join their busy and growing manufacturing organisation in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled, reliable, and has a strong commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Perform MIG welding on a range of materials including carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium, and other metals.
  • Weld a variety of joint configurations in multiple positions to a high standard.
  • Set and adjust welding equipment to ensure optimum weld quality and compliance with welding procedures and specifications.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Follow all welding procedures and quality requirements to ensure a "right first time" approach.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Ensure correct identification, marking, and labelling of components.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience welding carbon steel and other metals to a high standard.
  • Experience working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow documented procedures.
