This is a rewarding role at the heart of South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue's prevention work, where you will lead and develop our volunteer programme, helping to create safer, stronger and more resilient communities. Volunteers play a vital role in delivering community safety initiatives, supporting vulnerable people and helping us reach communities across South Yorkshire. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure they have the support, training and opportunities they need to make a real impact.
The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey, from recruitment and induction through to development and recognition. You will also help identify and create new volunteering opportunities, work closely with community partners, and promote volunteering across the organisation and wider community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused individual who is passionate about community engagement and inclusion. You will have experience of working with local communities and engaging with people from vulnerable groups, alongside excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
