An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a purpose built, modern veterinary practice in Rotherham. This impressive facility is designed to support outstanding clinical care and is home to a passionate team dedicated to providing the very best treatment for animals, day and night. With colleagues bringing a wide range of clinical interests and many currently studying towards certificates, the practice is an inspiring environment where professional growth and collaboration are actively encouraged.
The practice boasts exceptional facilities including nine consultation rooms, four operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, a specialist ultrasound suite, and a CT scanning suite housing a cutting edge 128 slice CT scanner. Additional features include two dog wards, two cat wards, and two well-equipped preparation areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities- Deliver preventative healthcare, diagnose and treat sick and injured pets, and promote long-term pet wellbeing through high quality veterinary medicine and surgery.
- Manage a varied caseload with opportunities to develop special interests (e.g., dentistry).
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to develop the practice’s clinical services and maintain a supportive team culture.
- Share knowledge and contribute to ongoing professional development within the practice.
- Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years of GP experience.
- Confident managing a varied caseload.
- Special interest in dentistry would be particularly welcomed.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Full time position
- 1:4 weekends
- Located in South Yorkshire, Rotherham, near the Peak District
