. Ideal for a vet with at least three years of UK GP experience, this role combines hands‑on clinical work with mentoring, leadership and the opportunity to help shape the future of a thriving practice.

As Deputy Head Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work closely with the Head Vet to deliver exceptional clinical care while supporting and developing the wider veterinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident GP vet who enjoys mentoring colleagues and contributing to high clinical standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality preventative and medical care to small animal patients.
• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical and surgical cases.
• Supporting the Head Vet with clinical leadership and day-to-day operations.
• Mentoring and coaching fellow veterinary surgeons.
• Promoting clinical excellence and best practice across the practice.
• Helping develop and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture.

The role is ideally based around 39 hours across four set days
, with a 1 in 4 weekend rota
. Flexible working arrangements will also be considered to support a healthy work‑life balance.

You'll be a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with:

• A minimum of 3 years' UK GP veterinary experience

You'll be joining a well‑equipped, purpose‑built veterinary practice with outstanding facilities, including:

• 9 consultation rooms.
• 4 operating theatres.
• Dedicated dental suite.
• Ultrasound suite.
• Advanced CT imaging suite with a 128-slice CT scanner.
• Separate dog and cat wards.
• Dedicated preparation areas.

You'll work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, many of whom are studying towards postgraduate certificates, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development.
