HSE Co-ordinator / Health & Safety Advisor

Shillito Group is recruiting for an experienced HSE Co-ordinator / Health & Safety Advisor to join an engineering and manufacturing environment.

This is a practical, site based role supporting the day to day management of Health, Safety and Environmental activity, with a focus on compliance, risk reduction and maintaining a positive safety culture.

The role

You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the completion and review of Risk Assessments, COSHH and PUWER assessments.
• Carrying out workplace inspections and audits.
• Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations.
• Monitoring corrective and preventative actions.
• Delivering HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintaining HSE records, systems and reporting data.
• Providing practical day to day HSE guidance to managers, supervisors and employees.
• Supporting environmental and health monitoring activity.
• Helping drive continuous improvement across the site.

What we're looking for

You'll need previous Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment, with experience supporting risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations.

A NEBOSH General Certificate, or currently working towards it, is required, alongside IOSH Managing Safely.

You should also have a good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, risk assessment processes and safe systems of work.

Salary

£32,000 per annum
