Estates Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Estates Surveyor to join their Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority estates and commercial property environment.

The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide professional surveying, valuation and estates management advice to support the effective use, development and performance of the Council’s commercial property portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Providing valuation, estates management and surveying advice to Council departments

• Supporting the acquisition and disposal of land and property assets and interests

• Assisting with statutory valuations (subject to MRICS sign-off) for accounting purposes

• Acting as the Council’s property representative and liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders

• Supporting projects, land and premises reviews, and contributing to service improvement initiatives

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• A Level 6 qualification (e.g. Degree, Graduate Diploma/Certificate) or Level 5 qualification (e.g. HND, Foundation Degree) in a relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge gained through experience

• Experience working in an estates, surveying or property-related role

• Experience with in a local authority or public sector setting
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Knowledge of valuation, estates management and property-related legislation

• Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and liaise with stakeholders

• Ability to manage workloads, contribute to projects and work within budget constraints

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £325 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approximately £275 per day PAYE).
